We recommend clear for focused task lighting in areas such as desks, workspaces, and task areas. Frosted lens are recommended for diffused lighting situations like vanity, picture, under-cabinet lighting, and over glossy surfaces to reduce glare.

Lower values are more amber for intimate spaces that want to envoke comfort, like dining spaces, residential areas, and hospitality lobbies. Higher values are more blue for task lighting areas that want to promote functionality like offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and more sterile health environments.

Local power supplies sit inside of a canopy or junction box directly above the fixture. Remote power supplies can be installed inside of an AV closet or accessible location within 50 feet from the fixture, which gives a minimal look on your ceiling above the fixture. 2-Wire/TRIAC/Forward Phase dimming is usually hooked up to a wall dimmer or switch and standard in residential or basic electric situations when the fixture is powered by a light switch. 0-10V dimming is compatible with many wireless dimming systems, Lutron, and Leviton systems. 3-Wire is a Lutron-specific capability used for Lutron Ecosystem setups and is compatible with the Caseta wireless dimming system. Check our Power Supply Guide for compatibility, specs, voltage, and wattage requirements.

Local power supplies require a local canopy to hold the power supply. Remote power supplies are compatible with more minimal hardware because power supplies are located
elsewhere.
